Collection Meter

The symbol collection meter can be seen at the top of the screen and gem or wild symbols can be added to the meter as they are collected by the birds. Once the meter is full, a pending feature symbol is released with up to 3 feature symbols released being able to stack at the same time. A feature symbol is released before a dynamite explodes which can be part of the first free drop in the bonus game or when the colourful birds are not able to collect any additional symbols. Feature Symbols

As we mentioned previously, the feature symbols are triggered after they have been collected by the birds as part of the collection meter. The feature symbols available in Pirots 3 include:

1. Upgrade symbol – gems of the same colour have their payout level upgraded. The gem colour is decided by the colour of the bird that collects the upgrade symbol. The gems can be upgraded by 1, 2 or 3 steps
2. Upgrade all symbol – this symbol is similar to the upgrade symbol but instead of 1 gem being upgraded, all 4 gem colours are upgraded by 1, 2 or 3 steps
3. Wild symbol – can replace other symbols on the reels for birds to collect
4. Coin symbol – coin symbols with values attached of between 5x and 1,000x and can be collected by adjacent bird symbols
5. Dynamite symbol – collected dynamite symbols trigger an explosion to remove symbols from the reels and expand the game grid. This can reach a maximum of 8 x 7
6. Peanut symbol – empty grid symbols are filled with peanut symbols which are collected and allow birds to cross empty spaces and reach more symbols
7. Transform symbol – collected transform symbols takes a cluster of gems and transform them into the same colour as the bird collector. It can also take random gems and turn them into special symbols

Coin Game

When the entire grid is cleared of symbols, this will trigger the coin game. Bags of gold coins with values attached are dropped alongside scorpions. Once the train arrives, either the birds or the bandit will appear from the train and can throw lassos to collect coin bags. Unfortunately, if they mistakenly catch a scorpion, they are out. When no birds are left, the coin game ends. New symbols and the birds can then appear again.

Duel Feature

When 2 birds are adjacent to each other, there is a chance that they can perform a duel. After moving apart, the birds will shoot towards each other as well as diagonally. If 3 or more birds are adjacent to each other, the duel feature is always triggered. Gems caught in the crossfire can be removed from the reels while other symbols such as scatters and coins are collected.

Bandit’s Escape Feature

When the key symbol is collected, the Bandit’s Escape feature is triggered. The bandit escapes from the cage to appear on the game grid if the birds cannot collect more symbols. He can collect symbols across the grid but if he is next to a bird, they will duel. When the bandit wins, the bird is removed, but if the bandit loses, all of its collected wins are then paid out. If the bandit is able to defeat all 4 of the birds, it will collect everything on the grid and the coin game is triggered.

Train Feature

On the left and right hand sides of the screen are 2 or 4 symbols with a train backdrop. When one of these symbols is collected, the train heist feature is triggered. The bird can then collect any symbols with a train backdrop that are available on the opposite side. If the bird is able to reach the symbols on the opposite side already, then he will not have to trigger the train feature. Once triggered, the bird will finish collecting symbols and then jump on a train. The train will travel around the game grid to award 1, 2 or 3 random special symbols. The train stops on the opposite side and the bird leaves the train to continue collecting symbols.

Free Spins Round

3 scatter symbols will trigger the free spins feature when collected by a bird. Players are awarded 5 free spins and if another scatter symbol lands during the feature, then an additional free spin is awarded. The symbol collection meter and symbol upgrades are present during this feature.

Super Free Spins

Landing 3 scatter symbols plus a super scatter symbol will trigger the super free spins feature. This plays on an 8 x 7 grid with upgrade symbols in play.
